I have seen this done... Its rickety and i wouldnt ever do it but looks like you might be into it haha

Go measure for what length extended and collapsed you need and do a little research with autoparts websites and google and find out what vehicle has stock shocks that you could buy and use... That would be cheaper but you still would buy new shocks... It'll be a pain to move your stock shocks up 5 inches to make it remotely compatible with your lift

Well he made 4.5" blocks. I think he could manage. Please keep it out of Maryland, though.

Try some s10 rear shocks with some bar pin eliminators, or some mid 90's f150 shocks. They're good for 3-4" of lift from what i hear. I dont recommend re mounting your stock shocks.

Are you on stock control arms?

everything suspension is stock i just put 5.5'' blocks underneath the rear leafs and 4.5 round spacers on top of my front coil springs the front shocks went back on but theyre maxed out and the fronts real stiff. and btw its on the east coast its definatly trail rated

You will need new components to make everything function properly... Like a new track bar, Longer control arms, brake lines, etc... Thing wont flex because it will bind up on all the stock components

Can you get us some pictures? I just want to see 5" blocks and 5" spacers.. I've never seen them that big before.

I'd start with a general tune up. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Could just be as simple as that
