Damn I wonder who the hell put it on upside down, was probably previous owner. And do I have to get a new one or can I just leave it with out? Thanks

It will be fine there, fix it when you have time or the next time it is apart, it isn't gonna cause any problems.

Took my front rims off today to look for a rattle/clang. Thought I was going to need some new bushings somewhere, but no, one of the bolts holding the right caliper on snapped off right at the bracket! I'm attempting to dill it out with the smallest bit I can (damn that bolt is tough) but I'm worried what might happen if I go bigger. Tap the hole? Is there a bolt and sleeve that will fit with a larger thread on the end? Or am I looking at a new bracket/knuckle (not sure what to call it) if the hole is stripped?

Don't they make bits for removing broken bolts?

Yes, but 9 times out of 10 they snap and just **** you off even more.

Plus they are much harder than the bolt and once it snaps, there is no more drilling it out. Its called an expensive high speed bur and time.

If i were you id maybe try an easy out once, but it its fighting at all id say f it and make a junkyard run. Besides, who doesn't enjoy a nice junkyard trip

Snap on, Cornwell, mac, matco, they all break. So why would you expect anything different from lower quality ones. Easy outs are terrible. I think ive had one work my entire life

Lol easy outs. Put one in the top shock bolt that was broken. What a joke snapped right in half. Nothing easy about them.

Ever used them things that grab stripped bolts? They have like teeth that bite into em and then you can turn it. Any luck with those?

left hand drill bits can work as they are working to loosen the bolt and heat at the same time.
