Wont start
I have a 2000 Cherokee that wont start and has no fuel pressure.
Was driving the jeep when my battery gauge dropped to zero and my electronics turned off but my jeep was still driving, pulled over and turned it off to check connects and the jeep has not started sense.
Things i have done.
New alternator.
new cps other was from April last year but swapped for a new one from dealer.
pulled fuel pump and it seems to work
new computer programmed to jeep
swapped relays around
Jeep will turn over just will not start.

Not the last time it died. But about a week before the Jeep was having issues starting would have to rev to about 2k rps for a min or two to get it to stay on and it would pop up engine light when I got it scanned it said. Cps pcm alternator where throwing codes.

I would also check the ignition switch and the wiring . sometimes the ignition switch wiring plug will burn up , I look at this before it goes to a mechanic .

I found that my Ignition switch had burned out. smoked wires everywhere. Replaced it. three months went by and the switch burned out AGAIN. replaced that one and three months or so later THAT one burned out. Did some serious hunting about and discovered that the bad bearings on my faulty blower motor were causing the motor to draw too much juice threw the resistor and the ignition.. burning out everything in the process. Replaced my blower motor, blower resister, ignition switch, and all my problems went away.
Not saying that this is YOUR problem. Only pointing out that you should make sure you find the CAUSE of the SYMPTOMS. A burnt out ignition switch most likely means something else is drawing WAY too much power in order to function.

Is the blower motor wired through the ignition switch on a 2000? I know it is on the 96 and prior.
It's a pretty inexpensive and easy replacement for the ignition switch. It'll be less than the tow to the shop anyway.
