I have a jeep xj 95 country. It wild crank but it will not turn over and start. It started a few days ago I was at work letting my car warm up. My boss had me move it and it shut off. It started back up. No issues while driving home. I got it to start up once to take home. It took a few times. When it started it would go up to 1500 RPM then die. When it got turned over black smoke came out but it clears up. When it started I had a map sensor code.


So today I changed the map sensor. The code went away but not it will not turn over. Cranks but wont stay up. I'm currently changing the crankshaft position sensor but I'm having some trouble taking it off. The torx bots are way to tight so I'm going to have a shop look at that I can't take of the TPS but there is nothing wrong with the throttle. I have other codes but 12


Also when I turn the light one(not running) they are dim

 

what is your voltage? and did changing out the CPS fix it?

 

Yea its fixed i have a strped o2 senor hole any advice

 

take it to a local muffler shop and have them weld in a new fitting.
