I have a 98 xj sport 4door |6 4.0 how do, or could someone tell me what axles i have?

should be Dana 30 on the front and Chrysler 8.25 on the rear.

check that and look at you front and rear dif to make sure.

It HAS to be a Dana 30 unless it has been swapped out for something else...

Rear is either a 8.25 or D35.

well when picking a lift it asks what axles i have what do i put if the front and rear a different?

for your lift it would be the rear because the u-bolts go over the axle to attach the leafs.

Look at the picture I posted of the diff covers and figure out if you have the D35 or 8.25 for your rear axle. Your front axle is a D30.

The Chry 8.25 has a larger axle tube than the Dana 35.
