What axle is this

Default What axle is this

Axle has been changed to one with disc brakes,not sure from what or what year.any help

If it has disk brakes and is relatively similar to Cherokee stock axle its probably from a grand cherokee. some people take their rear axles to have disk brakes in rear. not sure of exact specs or model

measure the outside dia of the axle tubes,if it is 3" it is an 8.25,if it is 2-3/4" it is a D35. The 8.25 will also be square on the bottom of the diff housing itself,not the cover. It is very hard to tell by looking at the cover.

here are some other pics,trying to find out what I have cause the brakes are grabbing some and making some noise,like when you let off brake some from a stop.

looks like a Chrysler 8.25 axle.

looks like its got the straight flat edge on the bottom edge...little harder to tell tho with the after market diff cover

just checked axle,it is square across the bottom and has 3 inch tubes,which one is better the dana 35 or the 8.25
