1996 cherokee country
I cant tell by look if crysler 8.25 or d35?

8.25. gonna have to pull the shafts and count to find out if it's 27 or 29 spline

its hard to tell..the 8.25 in my commander has a much flatter bottom.

its the 8.25, the flat bottom a dead give away

Pretty sure it's 27. 96 and under are 27 97-01 is 29.

actually the 29 spline 8.25 was introduced about halfway through production in 1996
so about half of the 96 models have 27 spline, the other half have 29.

Yup like the 94 some had bigger u joints in axle shafts some didn't lol mine has the bigger ones And the 8.25 rear end I got lucky I guess
