I have gotten myself and my 2001 xj 2WD in a bind, literally. Regardless of why I did things the way I did to do my budget lift this is where I am now. I will be as descriptive as I can so I can get proper help. Looking at the jeep from the front, I disconnected the front bolt on the upper control arm on the Driver side. I disconnected the track bar on the passenger side. I disconnected the Sway bar links. I removed the coils and shocks. I installed Tereflex coil spacers described as giving a 2-3" lift. I added the stock isolator and reinstalled the coil springs on both sides. I think my axle has now rotated and I can not get the bolt holes on the track bar or the bolt holes on the upper control arm to line up. I have jacked up both sides and tried everything I know to do. The track bar will only get about a 1/2" from the bolt hole, seeming that it is to short now. My next step was to remove the LCA bolts in the front to try and get the axle back in proper position and button things up. I think getting help at this point is more prudent than causing more possible problems by removing the LCA bolts. Again the axle appears to have rotated some. The axle will not move with a ratchet strap connected to the crossmember, and a jack at any height on either side will not allow the holes to line up for the bolts. I am not experienced but I have read so many conflicting things about how to do this simple install. I did buy new Bilstein shocks 2" over stock that are not on at this point. Please let me know if I need to give more info for a proper answer. Your help WILL be appreciated VERY MUCH. Thanks Sandyman. Go easy on me as I am new to this but will try my best.

So being that your lifting it and keeping the stock track bar its gonna want to pull the axel towards the driver side therefor you have two options, buy a longer tracbar, or have someone push the axle over while you line up the bolt(I had a 3'' and stock TB for almost a year with no issue) as for the UCA once the TB is back on, youll want use a heavy duty ratchet strap to rotate the axle front or back. I use the C to hook on to, if the axle needs to rotate the top back hook it to the rear axle, if the axle needs to go forward you might need a friends vehicle or something to hook it too. When you lift a jeep its extremely rare everything will perfectly line up, especially when re using stock parts that arent meant for a lifted vehicle. Hope this helps, feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Thanks for the ideas guys. I PMed Purple and think my best bet is to remove the coils and start over and doing things a little different. Any suggestions or ideas are still appreciated as it is still in ICU.
I lay under my jeep with bolts in hand and have someone else jack up the body of the jeep on the transmission cross member. That way the axle stays stationary to a point and the body moves around it. Sounds like more work but I've had my control arms off many times and found that its easier that way

Install upper first then lowers as for trac bar set xj on ground on its own weight start engine turn steering wheel body will move over axle insert bolt...Its that simple. A track bar relocation bracket will help center thing for now.

The idea of putting the wheels on to line up the track bar sounds good. At this time the shocks are not on the swaway bar links are not connected the track bar bolt is out and the front upper control arm on the drivers side is unbolted. Do I need to put any of these on before putting the XJ on the ground?

Ok guys, it all worked great and is all back together. Now to torque everything and give it a ride. Your ideas helped so much and I learned a lot. Thank you all for your time and help, it is greatly appreciated. I don't think I could have done it without your input.
Sandyman With stock replacement shocks in the rear and new stock leaf springs, I ended up with about a 2" lift.
