Default welded to my body

long story short so when i bought my cherokee it came with welded on rock sliders. now im looking to remove the old ones and buy some new ones from JCR ...lol. but with my current ones welded on should i take extra time to shave it all off and attempt to "fix" that welded on area?? im just afraid that area that is welded after i remove everything is gonna be really weak....inputs? ideas?greatly appreciated thanks

i think i might be taking this one to a certified weldin shop... i just read somewhere at some point in time.. that welding anything or trying to "fix" the uni-body is only a temp fix?

Have you considered Frame Strengtheners?
I just ordered a pair and JCR Stage-2 Rock Sliders a couple days ago. Hope I get em next week.

sorry for the quality.. i just barely got off of work...

looks pretty straight forward. i wanna bolt this new one in but i dont want my body to break or something from the weld

if you look closely at it you can tell whats the weld and whats dirt.
