TPS sensor!!!

TPS sensor!!!
awhile ago my jeep started running really funny, it would shift at really high rpms and idle either super low or super high. So i hooked up a code reader and it said i had a bad TPS sensor so i replaced it and everything was fine for a month or two till i didn't drive the jeep for about a week and when i came back it was doing the same thing again. so i pulled out the code reader and the same code came up. so i once again replaced the sensor. ran fine. next day did the same thing again pulled the same code and everything. this will be the third sensor i have replaced. what am i doing wrong? Could it be something else?

i just went to checker and bought what they had i dunno it wasn't cheap but i get discounts for where i work. it had i life time warranty so i have only paid for one technically but this whole going through a sensor every week or so is getting really old

Yeah, they have a lifetime warranty for that reason... I would say, first make sure the ground is good. If so, go get one from the dealership...

Lifetime warranty from those stores generally means you're gonna keep replacing those parts for your lifetime.

Possibilities include a poor quality sensor or a bad connector for that sensor. When I replace a sensor, I always perform a comprehensive inspection of all of the contacts, then give it a thorough spray of electrical contact cleaner, add a dab of dielectric grease and reconnect.
As a side note, always best to post the exact code number(s) as most circuits have multiple codes that can be set with OBD
