go to any auto parts or stero store they sell a plug that plugs right into factor xj harness and them you just follow the radio and kit direction when connection the wires to the two

Are you seriously asking if someone has a magical way to make a 7 inch screen fit in a 3 inch space?? because they don't. You are going to have to get creative and move some stuff around and fab something. Let us know how it goes, sounds like a neat project.

Touchscreen
In my '96, I managed to fit an 8" touchscreen in the dash.
Existing radio comes out. Moved the heater controls UP to where the radio used to go. (There is not enough depth to move them down - heater ducts are in the way).
Removed the center vent (that was below the original heater controls location).
Cut out some of the heater duct (that was behind the center vent), to make enough depth to mount the touchscreen (mine was screen only, I put computer in rear quarter-panel). My screen was 1-1/8" thick. ** This may not work for you, if your CD player is much thicker/deeper **. Wherever I cut out the front of the duct, I closed it in with Aluminum tape, so all the remaining heater vents still work.
On the dashboard trim (bezel), I cut out the bit that was between the heater controls and the center vent. Sand the edges nice with 400-grit, you can't even tell it was ever there. Look factory. I needed one additional screw, through the upper left edge of the bezel, to keep it flat in place.

I never put a touchscreen in my 93 back in the day but i did move the control up and radio location down.. If im not mistaken it stuck out like half inch.. but wasnt a big deal.
Now my 98 have a 7" touchscreen in it at factory location which fits perfect but i had to cut into the vent passage a lil to make some space for all the wires.
Your shifter will prob get in the way so youll have to manually open it after putting it in gear.

Most touch screens flip down don't they? I have a friend that hides his controls with the screen when he needs to change something he just hits the fold button, changes it, then flips screen back up. no biggy, how often do you use the front vents anyway?
