if its a 6 cyl motor, and manual transmission... yup 307's BUT!!!!!

if its a 4 Cyl motor, and manual transmission... Its gonna be 4.10's...

just another fun fact for ya on the 8.25... No Cherokee running a factory 8.25 with the factory gears came with 3.73's... If you find an 8.25 out of an XJ with 3.73's then they are aftermarket gears

for checking the gear ratio one somewhat easy yet very reliable way is to jack up the wheels, disconnect the driveshaft, rotate one wheel, and count how many revolutions the pinion yoke/flange makes 3turns is 3.07 gears, 3.5 is 3.55 gears, 4 is 4.10 gears.

The gear ratio is stamped in the side of the ring gear.
