Well so far the cold start results are great. I was gone for most of the day. Came back and fired it up. Usually with in the first five minutes I get the knock. I let it sit and run for about 15 minutes and the noise has failed to come back. This alone is a a huge bonus. I hated sitting at a stop light with the engine knocking away. I was always waiting for some smart *** next to me to make a wise crack about the knock. Well no more worries because it's gone! I'm gonna drive it for a week and do another 32 oz's next weekend and then do my oil change shortly after. Guys if you have what you may think is piston slap give this a shot! It's free, easy, and seems to work really well for additional throttle response.

This interests me, but honestly I'm a bit taken back about putting water in my intake.
Any long term reviews? Sensors dying months later, frogs in intake?

I've been doing it for about 40 years. Think STEAM, not water.

Cruiser, idk about you or your area but where I live we get those pesky infamous steam frogs. Cant do the boiling water trick with them either.

Its all fine and dandy until your muffler 'ribbits'.

My dad used to do this, swore up and down by it. He also had a plastic bottle rigged up with a vacuum hose that pulled water constantly into the intake as the motor was running because it ups the compression ratio, old tractor pulling trick. Gonna try this on my XJ this week, hopefully get that tick tick to go away.
