Good idea. I wouldn't mind having one anyway, I'll hold off and pick one up next week.

 

From what I've gathered, people who have never "steam cleaned" their engine should spray in the water in. Start with a hot engine. Is it necessary to change the oil fairly soon after steam cleaning? Also, can one do it to a car that can't be driven? I mean is it a bad idea?

 

Don't overcomplicate this. Pour the water in per the instructions/video.

No need to change oil

No need to drive it.

Probably about 15 oz.

 

Do it again in a week. And after doing it, go drive it like ya stole it for a few minutes.

 

I did it then drove on the highway so it got ran pretty good

You're good. You'd have to douche it with 1/2 gallon of water in a quick single shot to hydrolock it. And if you did that, you would BE a douche.

A little better throttle response, possibly less noise. Easier to pass emissions testing....
