Tap water is fine. Just use the water.

I'm going to give this a try tomorrow with distilled water (already have a few gallons from the last coolant flush) I'll post a video of it.

Obviously not internal pictures... I've had good results with seafoam in the past, curious how straight water will work.

just gunna take after pics of the altima because its a paid job but when i do my 4.0 in a few weeks im gunna pull it apart, take pics, put it back together and steam it then break it down to do the head. so il have before and after shots.always been skeptical of the steam cleaning

Just got back from the first drive in my wife's XJ since the "steam cleaning" and subsequent driving it like I stole it. Feels better. and guess what? The clok/clok/ noise I thought was a little piston slap is now gone.....
