Actually ran quite well id say, only around the block a few times. Temp light came on and I parked it to investigate.

If engine still runs why not weld it up with a stick welder, with the right rods, just clean up the crack a little and then just fix it.
Over the years I have done it a few times with different engines with frozen engine blocks, one engine in a forklift truck ran for 15+ years with a welded crack and it was used every day for loading and unloading trucks.

I am thinking about trying it with my TIG Ive become decent at welding cast aluminum, but haven't tried steel yet. I have been told to get nickle rod, but this crack is more than a crack its started pulling apart so where will it stress crack next??????? I am still replacing it for one less thing to worry about.
