Default Shaking

So a few month ago my Jeep started shaking violently and I didn’t have the money to fix it then so I started driving my other car, I have no replaced the tie rods and ball joints and it still shakes between 20-30mph, the steering also feels like the wheels are tipping when I turn and has a weird wobble when I am turning. Let me know what you guys think you know more than I do

Wheels "tipping," as in active camber, would be degraded ball joints.

Would any of it have to do with my alignment being way off?

I had death wobble but mine was at 60mph, I ended up replacing ball joints, tie rod ends and the track bar. It's been fine since. As previously said though, your alignment being out certainly won't be helping this situation.

For any front end issues, I usually start by crawl under the front and having someone move the steering wheel back-n-forth while you look and feel for anything loose. Trackbar, control arms, rod ends, etc. Toe-in can be measured and set pretty close with a tape measure. I have a couple of 6-ft straigtht edges I clamp to the wheels and by the wheels and out at the ends and do the math, setting about 1-2 degrees toe-in. You'll get lots of arguments on whether it's a bandaid for an underlying problem, but a working steering damper is important.

Out of round or balance tires will help drive the problem. Last wobble I helped troubleshoot had a noticeable tire wobble, that turned out to be heavy corrosion on the back of the wheel. A few minutes with a wire wheel and properly torquing the rim fixed that.

Mine was also around 60 mph but unlike all the ones I read about bumps did not set mine of. Mine would start out of the blue..hell even in straight away's it would do it. Strangely I could have it happen and next day same spot same speed would not. I said hell with it as the front-end was all original (although someone had mess with it before as the upper control arm on passenger side the nut was welded to the bolt) I replaced everything but really the only thing I saw that was worn out bad was the drivers side tie-rod end and the track bar mounting hole to frame was walleyed out. Steers perfect now and I got some new tools out of it.

***lol...Just noticed I signed in with a old login I used on Google login.. I'm really country2.
