OK (predictably), the 89-90 is the same...so the low ac,v is not due to a difference in the "teeth".

Can't see it that well, but I am pointing at the MAP line.. used plastic tubing and rubber fittings, cut to fit so there are no bends in the line... like a glove..

Changed air filter as well. It was dirty but no rodents or nests in the tube.
I must say the .3 volts from the CPS is in the back of my mind...

Yet! here, they are like death and taxes. (it actually rains mice in my shop at night, judging by what I find in a bucket now and then)

Yea...mine died shortly after reading .03. Get this. the new Echlin read .4 right after I installed it....but went up to .5+ after a couple weeks. I understand plain old induction pretty well..but that thing is a little more tricky. Somehow it's iron core and the windings make current when nearby iron leaves. Maybe some "latent" magnetism, (alignment of polarization), occurs during operation. Check it again?

I gave it a good run.. about an hour. It ran beautifully. I pulled in the driveway and it started screwing up again. Black smoke, hesitation, the whole bit.. Son of a GUN!! I can't believe how smooth it was running and how fast that all changed.

I'll test the MAP tomorrow.. Are you saying above, that I should do the bypass?

So...at this point you have "intrmitant" pig rich, and black smoke. Did you happen to pull out that tube and listen to the injectors?

I don't think it's the root of your problem, but I would bypass the C101 with at least the CPS wires. Solder and shrink tube for sure.
