Radiator blues part 2
Hey guys,
I posted about a week ago about losing coolant from my radiator cap. I popped the hood and dug around a bit and found out my overflow tube was clogged and I replaced it and it was all good or so I thought. Today I went to GameStop and I lost a little coolant when I parked from the radiator cap again. I am not overheating and never have. I checked the oil and no chocolate milk (whew) but could I just need a new cap, I replaced it roughly a year ago it was about 7 bucks. Should I go a higher pound or just a new one same pound?
Another thing, I don't have any collapsed hoses when I spill coolant.

As always, source your parts well. I try to get MOPAR parts when I can. They have the highest quality - if you have to repair something and you are a dealer, you do not want the customer to come back and have to repair it again because they will not be happy. The autoparts store doesn't mind if you come back and buy 10 more of whatever you just bought.

Might want to try a new cap. Be sure it is rated for the correct pressure. I can't recall if there is a difference with the spec for the open and closed cooling system. Anyone?
Also perform a very close inspection on the neck area of the radiator where the cap seals; look for any cracks or any slime or debris that may inhibit sealing..
If it truly is leaking (and not overheating) from this area, it's either the radiator or the cap. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, (old Mission Impossible reference) is to determine which is the root cause!
Good luck and keep us updated!
