Default Power Door Lock Problems

I purchased the vehicle a few weeks back and the power door locks didn't work. I went into the interior fuse box and checked the fuses for front door / windows and they were good and put back in and then all the power door locks worked. Ran fine for a week with key fob working too then all of a sudden no power door locks again.

Now the passenger side window switch seems to not be working. Would this have any effect of this issue of them not locking? None of the fuses are blown. I just hate electrical gremlins.

Here is what I can tell you.
My '00 from day one when I bought the Jeep over 6 years ago the locks would work 99% of the time.
Even when they did not work it would not be for long.
Like I could stop to go into a store and they would not work. Come out and they did.
One time they were out for 3 days give or take.
Not work with the fob or any of the door switches.
Well when they did not work I could hear a click coming from the passenger door.
Thinking it was one of the relays clicking in the passenger side switch.
The passenger side switch does operate the locks.
So having extra used parts I swapped out the switch.
All was good for about 6 weeks. Then they did not work again.
So I swapped in another used switch. Been about 8 months now without a problem.
Cause of the clicking I never really thought it was wiring.
Is the switch causing the problem? If so is it causing your problem too?
Not a clue. Won't really know till if and or when they screw up again.
And even then I won't really know cause I am using used switches. LOL.

Somewhere I read the passenger (right hand) power window / door lock switch on the 1997-2001 XJ's was the master switch. Long story short, because I had intermittent power door lock issues, I switched out the passenger (right hand) switch, with a new Mopar unit. No more problems, and that was 5 years ago.

WOW. Sounds like a solution to my problem. Intermitant window inop, so I replaced master on drivers door. Solved window issue, not door lock issue. Here that 'clicking' in the pass frt door. Will replace switch, and report back.
THANKS!!!!
