Power Door Lock Switch
Hello,
i'm Alessandro from Italy, in this days i'm going to fix the power door lock switch on driver side, the passenger side work well, but the driver side one, don't work since i bought the car.
Today i checked the switch and it work, and i cecked the wires continuity from the switch to the wires after the door, i have three wires (white, green and red).
After the door there is a plug and they go into a mian wire but i don't know where they come out and other check to do.
Regards from oversea.

The power door lock and window switch is a common problem with the cherokees. I have an 89 and some of the switches on the panel do not work. I do not know much about the whole problem unfortunately because I never looked into it. I think you should use Google to try to find anyone in your area with the problem and see if you can find an answer. I am sorry I could not solve your problem, but I do not want to let you wonder if anyone read this thread. Hopefully this post will make it more noticeable for others so you get a quick answer. Good luck to you though.

I can help you about the window switch, because i discover that under the swithces block there are two metal layer with a layer of insulant between them. This layer packet have to be right and deoxidized, because the metal layers do the ground for the switches, and if they don't have a good contact the windows don't work anyway.
