Anyway, your EGR valve, (with the "spaceship" looking diaphragm), should be replaced. What I was saying is I think that spring is what holds it closed, and your spring doesn't look too good! I held off pulling mine when I looked at it because I wasn't sure I had the correct torx tools to get at those two screws that hold the whole thing on.

The 02 sensor is pretty important for mileage. Might be anyone with high miles who doesn't know how old there's is should change it. Mine came out easy, but I guess they can be a bear, you might want to go ahead and spray it ahead of time with some PB Blaster or Kriol.
The exhaust leak is in front off the muffler

Yeah I'm replacing the egr valve and diaphragm when I get paid
I already pulled the egr valve off and started the engine, it idled at 3000 but steady
I will do the o2 then as well Soon! Thanks for the help man
I'll try to upload this video I got of my jeep idling

That was all on its own, I never hit the gas. That's the worst it's even been I think
But what's weird is the dying and almost dying when I hit the gas stopped when I adjusted my tps
Oh one more thing, the egr valve WAS plugged when this test took place

I don't mean to be a film credik! (Kredick?)I can't really hear the engine well at all. In better light, with the hood up, and the camera actually there would likely yield more info. Anyway you have more than a few things to cover!

Possibly. You're trying to address the fluctuating idle?

There's info here on Renix 02's > https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/ren...ce-rms-133153/
Condenser mikes can be .."interesting!" , to say the least. I hear a rumble. On the net, it's like tieing your shoes with chopsticks. I might put a (3/4/19mm?) wrench on the crank pulley bolt and see that bolt is snug. Never a bad idea ether, to pull the little plate on the bottom/front of the bell housing and check that the T-converter to torque plate bolts are snug.

I forget if it was TJ or Freedgr gave me a handy tip. On the 02, just chop the wires, and a 7/8 box wrench goes right on. I jacked up my front left frame. With that axle hanging, and the wheel off you can access stuff. Check the wiring to your engine temp and knock sensors, (as well as the 02 sensor) while you are there.

Get a solid spring/seal on that egr valve. Get your plugs ect handled... then "OIL in the Airbox" That is a sign of worn rings/piston issue. A wet/dry compression test will give info on where to go.

The fluctuating idle is FIXED! Thanks so much guys!! It was the o2 sensor.
I got a bunch of goodies to do to, distributor, distributor cap(so I can do the adjustment) wires plugs and rotor!
That wil be done asap
But now that one problems fixed, another is here
At the most random times my jeep will stall. It did today in a intersection. But it starts right back up the second I try it right after it dies. I don't understand haha we can eliminate so much because of all the things I have fixed because of the idle.
I still need to replace my egr valve, that could be it
