Hey cruiser, what does a stock egr valve look like? I noticed mine has the pick n pull "paint" on it so I know its not the original. Is it possible he replaced it with the wrong one? Because I was trying to do your egr valve test and I don't understand how to do it.

Disconnect both vacuum hoses to it as a test and plug them . See what happens.

What about the one that goes directly to the back middle of the valve?

There's no hope for it is there? I shake it and it sounds like there's sand in it!

Well I plugged everything and pulled it off, still idling like crap, I'm trying to think of what else it could be, I've already got new map sensor, egr sensor, egr lines, bothe valve cover breathers and rear grommet, quadruple checked vac lines

I don't know what could have changed.

I put the rear breather tube to the valve in front of the throttle body
That rear breather tube....do you have that running through the CCV orifice?
It's supposed to go through the metal CCV valve(orifice) in the grommet in the VC, with a little 2.4? mm hole that way restricts how much air it sucks. Then where it connects in front of the TB to the manifold, I wouldn't call a "valve" More of a port I guess. Really just a nipple to connect it to manifold vacuum.

You have the meter set on DC amps. You want DC volts, probably a 20 scale.

I think... I just got a rear valve cover grommet and the tube seemed fine so I just used that to run to the nipple on the intake manifold

I'm calling it a night...Yea, I suppose the grommet looks right. I've never seen one out. The top looks right, and it should be restricted to a very small hole down in there. No harm in pulling that tube at the manifold, capping off the nipple there on the manifold for a second, and seeing it your idle smooths out. Would only take a minute.

On the tps I was shooten for .82. I found as I tightened the screws it would wander a bit. I got it pretty snug and where I could tap down on it to hit my .82, than finished snugging the screws.

Yeah I'm gonna try that!
And that's funny cause I was shooting for .83 and when I tightened the bolts I got to .83

I could be wrong but I don't think this is supposed to look like this, if it possible this being all oily and grimy could cause my rough idl
I did plug my egr and pulled off the little space ship thing, the spring inside was rusted to dust

That's normal, and it can cause all sorts of problems. Take care of it.
