For anyone following. There are tricks for removing the NSS without wrecking it. I guess if you can wedge behind it, then tap IN on the shaft you might tease it off. One poster mentioned using wood. I'd think if it was wood, very hard wood would help getting a "crisp" tap on it.

I broke it getting it out... I lost patience and started prying behind it and I broke it. I lost patience because I was laying under her with oil all over my body and some kind of dust and dirt falling in my eyes=lost patience lostpatience=manhandling
