Default My jeep is to slow!!!

I don't know why my jeep is so damn slow.. It needs a lot of rpm just to get it moving... I'm getting very frustrated, I can't figure out what the problem is.

Put in a 440 Six Pack, built to 1970 specs. Make your jeep go, say, 175+ with a six speed? Jk! Lol

First of all check the brakes to se if they are stuck and hanging up. If not move on to transmission. Check fluid per service manual instructions. If that's good try adjusting he bands per service manual instructions.... hope its the.brakes!.... you gettin tired Cherokee man or you planning a new build?

I'll check brakes tommarow I never though of that. How do you know if its Hung on? Also its a 4.0 automatic. Tranny fluid is good and right lvl. I don't know what bands you are talking about so further info is needed. Also stock gear ratio

Jack.it up and.try to.spin the wheels. Should spin free.... also make sure you aren't in 4lo lol.... put it all in neutral before you start spinning tires just to make sure.

Isn't this your 2nd thread about your Jeep being slow? What have you ruled out as being the cause?

Its not going to run properly without the cat and downstream O2 sensor.

Excess has a point. My jeep had the cat removed by the PO, but a 94 doesn't have a downstream O2...

Okay ill try the jack up thing. And yes this is my second post the first one did not get me much information. And I've ruled out a lot of options. I have not tried the spin tires thing. So I will attempt it. I think all the o2 sensors are hooked up.
