Default Left turn signal not flashing 1990 jeep cherokee

Hello everyone ! Just got done putting a 95 ho motor in my 1990 jeep Cherokee ! Using all the renix system . Also used the whole ho motor . Couldn't have done it with all of yours help . Seems to be running good ! THANK YOU !

Now have a strange problem with my 1990 jeep Cherokee ! The left turn signal does not blink ! The hazards all work ! The right turn signal works ! But not the left ! ? When you turn the left signal on the lights just come on but no blinky blinky !! So I leave this to the experts to help me figure this one out !

Thanks in advance !
Brad

After a quick google search, it is suggested to clean the grounds in the light socket first.

There are TWO flashers in your fuse/flasher panel apparatus, driver side kick panel.
One is for turns, other for hazards. To test.. swap them.
IF this proves bad, buy a new one. Worst case, drive to your local parts store and remove it and have them match it up. But, they should be able to look it up. Also, check fuses.

I just had the same problem with my 92 XJ. left side would flash but the right side would stay constant. Ended up just being the relay in the "flashers" position in the fuse box under the driver's side dash. I was also told that the hazards and the flasher relays are universal so you could swap them out to completely determine if it is your relay or wiring.

Depending on the difference of electrical resistance between left and right wiring/grounds/corrosion/sockets., YES.

This is true. So, what does it mean? It means that you should try cleaning all the sockets for the bulbs on the side not working. It might fix your problem without having to buy a new flasher.
