Default 1990 vs 1991

Hey guys I have a 1991 jeep Xj base that's 2wd with a engine that has 78,xxx miles. The other day I bought a 1990 jeep Xj 4x4 limited with a blown motor( rod bearings) I heard that the 1991 has chrystler electronics and the 1990 has some other one is that going to cause issues when I swap my engine (1991) to the 1990 jeep body I'm becoming a GM certified tech so I'm very hands on ( obviously) but what am I looking at I'm 19 and this is a project did I **** up with the 1990 jeep???
