Default Jeep won't run

My 1996 xj 4.0 runs rough when cold almost wants to stall out and when I start driveing it around 1500 2000 rpm it will start to sputter and hop and lose all power. It keeps throwing codes every time I fix the code that it throws it will run fine for a day then it will all start agen does anyone have any idea what it is befor I keep buying parts I don't need I would really appreciate it ?

Could be TPS, IAC valve, pretty much any sensor on the throttle body, o2 sensors, check your ground too.

In general, 02 sensor warnings are not worth investigating.

Clean your throttle body and IAC, see how it goes. Then if there is no change, replace TPS. You should be doing the free stuff first, then cheap stuff, and then expensive stuff like CPS etc. A clogged up cat can make your jeep do those things too.

When it's saying system too rich or too lean, which is all it does, how is that not worth investigating? Points you in the direction to start investigating.

With? Did you pull it off and remove the IAC as described in many similar threads?
