Default jeep dies while driving, help?

Hey all, my jeep has been acting up lately. Its getting hard to start, if you turn the key all the way to start it, it just clicks. If you do it about halfway it will start. To shut it off all you have to do is barely bump the key back and it shuts off. Turning the key all the way back to turn the radio and other things on quit working also. Today while I was driving at about 30 mph it shut off and died. It started right back up. Later when I got home I put it in reverse to back into my driveway and it died again. Put it In park and it was harder to start. It finally started after a few attempts. Plugs and wires have been changed recently, any ideas on what it could be? Thanks guys!

Thanks Larry. Gonna get the part tomorrow. I had to hold the key about halfway to the on position just to keep the thing from shutting off while driving home from work tonight. Gonna put the new ignition switch in tomorrow and let you know the results. Thanks again!

Obviously the key and switch aren't in same location, so an inspection of the mechinism that connects key to switchmight be in order before buying switch
