Simple question but can find the answer in my FSM or Haynes manual... Do you gotta drain the oil to disconnect the oil pressure sensor? My oil pressure consistently reads 60 on the gauge and I wanna take out the sensor and give it a good cleaning but don't wanna make a mess

No. All of the oil has dropped down back into the pan.

Just remove connector, unscrew the old sensor and screw in the new one. 10 minutes.

Don't try to clean it; it isn't likely to help you here; just replace it. They are a VERY common failure. They aren't that expensive....

I highly recommend purchasing this sending unit directly from Jeep for the best reliability/accuracy/mating with your factory gauge.

The pressure sending unit is above the oil level in the pan so I wouldn't think u would lose but a few drops, especially if u let it sit for a bit to let the oil drain back to the pan.

Not a problem. Just make sure the engine is off and has been sitting for at least a few minutes.
