Default I just fired up my Jeep for the first time!

Just fired up my Jeep for the first time and wanted to figure out what's going on with her. It sat for a long time so I think the gas is just bad and ill have to add some clean gas. I ran it at 1000 rpm's till it warmed up and threw it up to 3000 rpm's and when I get it up to 3000 it kind of stalled out like I was hitting the rev limiter and the check engine light came on. Here is the check engine light code I have no idea how to read the flashes.

It's difficult to say anything about this with so little information. Like:

1) did you check the fluids before starting, engine oil, coolant, and transmission? How do they look?

2) how's fuel pressure?

3) did you do any maintenance before starting? Cruisers tips for Renix are a good place to start.

If you search on how to read these codes, you will get plenty of threads on it.

Good luck.

Thank you,

The vehicle is in great shape. I could check fuel pressure if I need to that would be my first approach to figuring out the problem. I was just hoping someone could help me read the code because I was having a really hard time understanding how to read it XD

I read code 335 and a 336 but you moved the camera and could not see if there was third series.
P0335, P0336 is the crankshaft positioning sensor.

https://www.engine-codes.com/p0336_jeep.html

All there is to reading the flashes is to count them. There will be a pause and then the next one. So if the series is 3 blinks a pause, 3 blinks a pause, then 5 blinks then a pause, 3 blinks a pause, 3 blinks a pause, and 6 blinks. You are getting two codes....a 335 and a 336

Alright I'll post another video when I get home and post it on the chat. I'll also try my best to read the codes myself lol my apologies.

No apology needed, just hope my post helped!
When you read the link I posted, the symptoms sound like what you described as well.

I'm going to check my battery. It sat for damn near 6 months while I put the Jeep back together. I also kept the old CPS which I know works so that's good. I bought a new one and I've heard plenty of stories of them being bad out the box.

I think it's the fuel pump.

I bought this flywheel and my dad says it could be incompatible with the cps
https://www.quadratec.com/p/centerfo...les-40l-engine

It says it works though so I'm personally not agreeing with that idea.

It runs and even drives but the throttle response is not there and it cuts out at 3000 rpm's
