check engine light
Can a bad tank of gas trigger the check engine light to come on? My xj is driving the same but the light went on a couple hours after I filled up.

Yeah, i had the same thing happen to me last week and was like oh ****.. but i went to Advanced Auto Parts, scanned it. Got a large evap emission.. tighted the gas cap, erased the code.. and it has yet to come back.. might want to get a read on it..

It could be the gas cap but, you will need to check your CEL codes to know for sure what the issue is.
