few questions
I have a 96 cherokee --low miles blah blah blah ---very good shape

also a very good shape 97---no engine or trans or title--but all mine

I know they are different but can the doors/front clip/rear hatch/gauge cluster(96 got lights for gauges) be swapped

I will do searches but I thought I would cut to the chase and also not make the old lady made with hours on the cpu lol like say 5 hours lol

welcome to the forum from colorado. i think 96 was the year they canged a few things on the front end. but i think the doors should fit. let me know if you find out other wise

You may encounter some fitment problems as one is a little more curved and smoother and the other is, like mine, a box on wheels. But anything can be done if you have the time and money!

96 was the change point for XJs!

I have seen people put a 97+ front clip on a 96. It doesnt look all that bad.
