My front tires aren't spinning but my drive shaft is! Any ideas?

 

What year is it? I'm guessing you have a CAD axle and the actuator isnt working. Check the vacuum lines going to it, they seem to like coming loose. Or take it apart, pull the c clip off, move the shift fork over, and put the clip back on, so the axle shafts are engaged all the time. Thats what I did, only took 15 minutes, and 4 wheel drive works every time now.

 

Even if it is a open differential

 

Start jeep pull the connector of axle check for vaacuum at the ports does part time light work...?

 

No it doesn't and its a 231 out of a 90

 

Just do this and be done with it.

Im doing that today and installing a freeze plug

 

So, did the freeze plug blow out or corrode through?

 

Blow out. Should I replace all 4 or just the one

 

Up to you. If it blew out rather than being corroded, you might be okay with just one. If corroded, for sure replace all you can get to.
