Trip this past weekend in Red Rock Canyon. This is off Last Chance Canyon just as you pass Camp Cudahy. I was actually trying to find my way to the camp to climb this and ended up going down it in the process. Went back up it later, which was not as intimidating as coming down it. Hopefully will be going out this weekend with disconnected sway bars although my XJ has performed great the way it is. This is also my first ride with the stock fender flares attached. Previous owner did the front and rear roll / trim but I was able to make it work and fit back in the stock position.

I didn't even know this place existed!!!! I always drive through red rock to go to mammoth lakes!!! Is it in that turnoff to go to the huge dirt parking lot or to the campsite?

That's amazing!! I know exactly where the parking area you're talking about is!! I wish I could right now but my XJ is not ready for off roading. But I might be going up to mammoth in the next few months hopefully and I might stay in mammoth for the summer so I'll be sure to let you guys know!! On a tight budget so I can't do any major mods just yet. Is stock ride height minus the sway bar going to be ok?

My XJ came with a diff lock so I'm all set!! And I literally just found out an hour ago that I was conceived in that trail. So that explains my love for Jeeps XD

Well it's happening! This weekend I'm off to Red Rock Canyon at 5 am Saturday morning for a one night camping trip with my mother. If anyone wants to meet out there let me know! I'll be hitting the lighter trailed as my jeep is still stock but I have done a lot of fixes since the last post.
