Very true. Go to a dealership in December for an oil change, you will be told you need a transmission flush, fuel injection flush, cooling system flush, headlight polishing, a throttle body cleaning, and a battery service. All of those services are pure profit and may not be needed. Never have the wife take a vehicle in for service, unless she is pretty sharp with automotive stuff.
