Default Help with windows

Hey gang, so I did what you said about putting the paper clip into the tan and yellow wires. That worked like a charm! But I wanted a better fix. So I used a butt connector to connect the yellow wire with the tan one..That didn't work.. So I thought if I were to just bypass the whole thing than that might work..Here's a picture to help you see what I did. Now all the windows work but only by the drivers controls. Any chance there is a solution?.. I guess I was just confused on the post that said you could do it this way..

Your connections are garbage. NEVER use pliers to crimp butt connectors - that's exactly why some people think butt connectors are junk, and should never be used. You need a proper crimping tool. It would not surprise me at all if you don't have the connections you think you have.

I suggest putting it back the way it was.

After you get a proper crimping tool, of course, and learn how to use it.

One of these:

Good crimper.

NOT one of these:

Bad crimper (but at least it's better than pliers!!!)

I see, thank you for the help. I don't think I have much of a chance putting it back the way it was though..

Do you place the butt connector in the middle of the pliers?

Never use pliers. Use a proper crimper.

There's a link in my post to some more complete instructions I posted a while back. See where it says, "learn how to use it"?

Those words are underlined to tell you there is a link there.
