Default Part time light

So earlier I noticed my part time light isn't coming on when I shift it into 4wd so I figured it was the bulb so I put a new one in, still nothing so I switched the little black base it goes into the back of the cluster with another that was working that didn't work either. Also it's not lighting up when I turn the ignition on to the ON position either but not sure if it was supposed to, can the switch on the t-case be bad?? Thanks in advanced

IDK for sure, but I think the switch is on the shifter quadrant inside the vehicle.

Okay, never mind. screwed into the t/case. Mopar part $64.

I just checked my 2000 WJ. It does if it's in part-time before you turn the key on.

It's a rather crude plunger types with that is prone to sticking. You'll find it at the top of the transfercase.

Update I changed the tcase position sensor got it from the dealer and still nothing. I took the cluster out and tried another bulb still nothing, checked the wiring harness going to the tcase everything was fine, it was getting the 5 volts it needs. Just for sake of mind I got another cluster out of another WJ and bam! It worked! Maybe the circuit board was damaged or old?
