im gettin ready to do the s10 bastard lift what are the chances ill be able to reuse the spring clamps
and..
are spring pins any different than regular bolts?

no, you cant use the same clamps and the pins are not regular bolts. Go to your local auto parts store(mine is car quest) and they will have the hardware you need. The clamps cost me like $2 a piece and the spring pack pins cost like $1.50.
the chances of reusing the spring clams are slim to none. i would just save the trouble and cut them off.
center pins are different than regular bolts because they are round on the end whereas a bolt is a hexagon. u need to use a pair of vice grips to hold it to take the nut off

You will most likely end up going to a spring shop to get the clips. None of the parts stores had them around here either.
That being said. I have had a couple of trail or hunting rigs that I had no spring clips on. I didn't have any problems with the springs walking out, but they never drove far or fast.
Instead of center pins, I use Grade 8 socket head cap screws. Those are the round head, allen bolts. The carry them right at my local Ace Hardware. The 5/16ths are exactly the right size for XJ springs and the head is the perfect size for the spring pad hole.
