I've had this knock. Trying to pin point the problem. If I hold the brake in drive and give it a little gas it disappears. Doesn't increase in intensity with rpm. Can't be heard driving or when revving the engine.

Take the inspection cover off and tighten the torque converter to flexplate bolts. If there tight, I would say you have a bearing going out. Usually the flexplate bolts knocking is really high pitched.

Yes, the audio works. I'd go ahead and check them since it's pretty easy and a known issue. Did you just change your oil?

I coulda had them checked and tightened in the time it took to make the video, post it up, and wait for responses.

Just making sure.

We've seen some filters cause real bad issues.

Don't worry this thing will never see a card board Fram filter.

Im going to get that inspection cover off asap, the sound really bothers me... im really hoping its just loose flexplate bolts... the motor only has 77,000miles

The flex plate isn't that hard to get off. It has a slot in it for the bolt your talking about that gets hung up by the exhaust. Just slip it by and leave the bolt loose...

For the stripped bolt... One handed pliers work wonders...

OK, here's my story, and it makes no sense to me. My 90 sounds EXACTLY like that right after I change the oil. Truly got me. Silly sounding I know, but she purrs like a swiss watch at the moment, sounded like yours after I changed the oil last year. Anyway check the bolts. Mine had issues. Actually they involved a professional trans shop and some idiot with an air wrench, but just check them.
