Default Coil connector

The coil connector has two wires coming out. Haynes manual only shows one. I wanted to check for continuity without taking all the wire loom off. Anybody have any further info?

The ECU controls the ground to the coil the other is the hot wire that comes from the auto shut down relay I think .

Correct.

Also correct: Haynes is garbage and so is Chilton. Wrong info scattered among good info, like land mines or leg traps, waiting to make your life miserable.

Notice the dotted box around the ignition coil picture? That means it's not a complete diagram, but only shows the ground circuit to the ECU. The one for the fuel tank unit shows a solid line to indicate nothing else goes into or out of the tank unit. I also learned this the hard way.
