nope. They either came with the same dana 35 you probably have, or a weak version of the dana 44 with an aluminum center section. Both of which are not worth the effort/cost to swap in

They best swap for the average wheeler IMO is the Ford 8.8. It requires a bit of modification to swap in, but much stronger than stock jeep rear end, very easy to find, and good aftermarket support.

The Ranger 8.8 is waaaaay to short, and only is 28-spline. The Explorer one is the one swapped into XJs, and has 31-spline axles. Also 95+ gives you disc brakes

You can buy swap kits that have everything you need so you don't have the fab the mounts etc. You do have to be able to do some basic welding and be able to grind off the old spring perches and whatnot from the 8.8 so it'll fit under the XJ.

doesn't matter. The only thing they will do is increase your throttle response a bit due to better fuel atomization from 4 holes vs the stock 1 hole. Neon injectors are advised because they use the stock style clip nuts to hold the injectors in place, and don't require you to replace the fuel pressure regulator

what year is your cherokee?
If it's pre-1999 the injector number has to end in "703"
if it's 1999-2001 the injector number has to end in "789"

year for 703's varies - usually 1995-1997 with the 2.0L engine
