They ride ok. A lot firmer than stock, helps with the corners on the road. Definitely improves road manners. Bumps are a bit jarring but nothing over the top.
Here is with the coil strut plate from the donor t-bird installed for 4.5" of lift.

Stiff but not brutal, I think the turd hydro shocks aren't helping, once I get the heavy duty bumper and have the final ride height I will buy some bilstein shocks!
The real problem is now with the front riding nice and firm and the back riding on some real ****ty springs it's cantalevering the *** end, slapping the bump stops, so I will be installing a set of OEM S10 springs, not a bastard but the entire spring minus the overload!
Hopefully this cures the problem

if u were refering to me I know the difference between a hack and tap and runnin the double its both, because when i did it without the front shaft the vibes were still pretty bad, went with the double cardan to see if that would cure it before tearing into shimming and degreeing the axle. this isnt my first rodeo with this stuff had my first jeep when i was 16. It was a yj, as were my next three, followed by 3 xj's and a zj. from working with the yj's ive picked up plenty of time working out driveline kinks with big lifts

According to that leaf spring chart posted somewhere around page 15-20 they are 2.5" longer than Cherokee springs. I will need to move my mount 3" forward

Complete s10 leaf springs (3 leaf no overload) can be installed with a little fab work, move front mount forward 1.75"

Drill new hole in the In U bolt plate 1.5" back of center hole, also open the hole on the perch that is 1.5" behind center to accept pin on the leaf spring

These 2 mods will get the axle nearly perfectly center with the S10 spring
Move the new shackle mount forward 2" in relationship to the old mount hole, fab a new shackle 5.75" center to center

What you end up with is 3" of lift, firm ride but not harsh, that matches the ride of the thunderbird coils!

Well, that's neat! I take it those are your picture of what you did?
My spring pack must have been different somehow. I believe mine were off of a 1988 GMC S15, which I was told had identical springs to an S10. I measured the main leaf running a tape over the curve from eye to eye on both and got the same distance. Wierd.
I didnt' think it was so far of a difference with the center pin. I will have to look at how far off the spring is in relation to the stock main (cut the same amount off each end getting rid of the eyes), but if I'm understanding right, you relocated the spring 1.75" (front, 2" rear, which seems wierd if it's longer) forward and still had to make up another 1.5" of offset. It sounds like that makes the difference 3.25+" difference? Mine was no where near that far off, if I remember right. I could be wrong again, though.

dukie564 posted a sweet spring chart on page 20, that where I got the data
from front mount to centering pin, cherokee 23", S10 26"
but you cant move everything forward 3" because of the increased arch of the S10 springs, also if you moved everthing forward 3" you would have to do quite a bit more work in the rear mount.
yes that adds up to 3.25", i had to move forwad .25" more than i would have liked to make room for the plate/nut i welded in the new loctation. but it cetainly passes the eyeball test once its all installed
drove on the freeway today, 99 is serverly jacked up, and the new suspension handles it alot better, i cant wait to feel the ride once i get the bilstein 5125's installed that i ordered today!
also iron rock offroad has a hack n tap sye kit with driveline for $199
really looking forward to getting all those parts installed!
sorry about any spelling errors, im on my phone right now

Can I use the steering box/pump from an early 89 cherokee as a spare for either a 93 cherokee or a 94 grand cherokee? Im more concerned with the grand cherokee, as the steering box on it might be worn and looks slightly different on the output side.

Is there a good option at the JY to replace stock leafs period? Mine are completely shot, not just sagging but are starting to look like a frown. I am wanting 3"-5" of lift. Should I spend the money for a lift w/ leafs or can I get leafs that will work and help me achieve my goal from my local JY.
Will this fit without much mod? Here is the info: "This front and rear axle set is out of a 1972 scout with posi. I do not know the gear ratio but I was going to use them in a jeep cj. The rear is the good heavy dana 44. Will ship at buyers expense." Both are for sale for $100 as a package

You can use the leafs out of a chevy s10. Just got to use ur mason leaf with the eyes on it as well. I got 5.5" out of all of them. I used the overload leaf to tho.
