I had two of the three bolts shear off in the block and now the passenger side of my engine is hanging down. I dont have an easy-out, so i was just wondering if there were any other tricks to get the broken part of the bolts out of the block. Any tips help, thanks!

Hello. I had the exact same thing happen to me except all 3 of my bolts sheared off! Unfortunately an easy-out seemed the only option short of making a whole new mount from some other holes. Luckily on the right side the engine will only drop untill the bottom of the distributor rests on the top of the part of the mount still sticking out. Good luck!
when mine broke from a pothole in the city, i had to take my xj to a shop and have them tap 1 bolt hole and weld new metal where the bottom 2 bolt were. i ripped off the 2 lower bolt rightout of the block

it was about 2 foot deep, i ran over it on a flooded street going a bout 20 mph that my kids daycare is on, i had to pay $250 but the city gave it back to me so i ended up paying nothing

Well i got some easy-outs and was able to get the lower bolt out, but not the top two. I got a close quarters drill and still am not able to get the top two out. Any suggestions?
