Default Backfire

i have a 92 lerado stock just bought cheap it has new cps tps map fuel filter and pump it starts and runs fine but when i give it a little throttle it sputters and backfires... Thought it was timing issue but not adjustable

Anyone have any input?

Timing may be 180 off.

Check the fuel pressure. A new fuel pump does not always mean it's a good fuel pump.

This^^. And if you look on the fender, you will see the correct spelling of Laredo.

Not really concerned of spelling but with the jeep running but your saying it will run 180 out i just need to reset the distributor

It would NOT run as you describe 180 out. If you want to check your distributor indexing, click on the link below and go to post 12, and then 13.

Have you checked your catalytic converter? That was part of my problem.

You probably have to let it warm up? When mine had a back firing issue I changed my spark plugs to the E3 Diamondfire and it went away.
