Default Altinator??

Hen I went wheeling last night my jeep started acting up. It was idling very low and sounded like it was missing and the battery gauge was kind of low. I kept it revved high and on the 40 min highway trip back it was fine and I le it idle for a minute and it's not low anymore. I think it's the altinator

Take it to a parts store and have it scanned. They can test the alt and let you know if its bad.

Sounds like the bearing is going bad in the alt. Probably won't be long before it starts making noise. Start shopping now.

The parts store could test it as good, but if the bearing is going shot, it may not show it as bad.

Means the diodes are bad, time for an alternator.
