Tried starting my vehicle this morning and it would start up fine, then after about three seconds it would shut off. I have three different keys, two which are jeep manufactured and a third that is a Strattec. I tried all three of them all with the same result. Please help if possible!

 

Mine was doing the same thing. It would start then die at idle. Ended up being a bad battery. Idk if that's your issue or not but worth a shot

 

Does it shut off cleanly? Or does it stumble, run rough and then die?

With a consistent shut off time of 3 seconds, that could be an issue with a security system disabling the ignition.

 

Gauges and everything come on fine, car starts just fine, it does however shut off pretty cleanly. I'm leaning toward there being an issue with the security system as that is what I've read quite a bit today. Does anyone know how I go about fixing that issue?

 

I'm not familiar with the security system, and mine ran rough/had low rpms then died so yours might be a different issue. However, it's free to have the battery tested so I'd start there just to rule it out
