First thing you need to do is find out if you have spark. Then you'll know if you need to check your crank sensor, coil, or distributor. If your crank sensor goes out you won't have spark at all. If you don't have spark, test your crank sensor. There are instructions to do that if you do a google search.

Yup, job #1 for a no start is always to check for spark.

Pull a plug, keep it attached to the plug wire, place the plug electrode near a good engine ground, have a buddy crank the engine while you watch. You are looking for a strong, BLUE, snapping spark. Yellow/orange/white indicates a weak spark, which may not be strong enough to start the engine.

If you DO have good spark (and only if) try a spray of starting fluid into the intake. If it starts and runs for a few seconds with this technique, you have identified a fuel delivery problem. By design, the fuel pump should energize and run for approximately 2 seconds when the key is turned to the ON position; be sure it is doing that.

The above techniques are easy to perform and will help you isolate why your engine isn't starting.

I haven't had much time to address the problem, but I replaced the IC and still wouldnt start. Tomorrow I'm getting an Ohmmeter to see of I'm getting spark from the CPS and then go from there.

if it wont start on starting fluid either you dont have spark (most likely) check compression also. and check fuel pressure but it should still atleast try to start on starting fluid
