94 cherokee ignition wont turn back to acc

My 94 Cherokees ignition will not turn back to accessory. It turns to all other positions fine. When I try to turn it to acc something pushes on the inside of the steering column cover and tries to push it up.
Edit: Had to put two rods that push into eachother back together. Popped apart somehow. Take the cover off of the column and you will see.
