Ordered ACOS spacers today. Not much into butchering my fenders If I don't have too. Drove it around the block. No shocks or sway bars. It was interesting. Will keep you guys posted. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb5IQ...ature=youtu.be

Merry Xmas everybody. Might be barking up the wrong tree and should probably start a new thread but you guys (Flintstone and Cruiser) and everybody else who replied have gave me good answers. Here we go. The guy who sold me the parts Jeep told me the gears were 411 or 410. Don't remember exact number but I do remember that he said that they were in the low 4s. So I swapped axles with the lift kit. I popped the rear diff cover to change the fluid and noticed the ratio tag said 307. I then threw some tape on the tire and drive shaft to check the gears. The 33 inch tire spun around twice and the drive shaft went around a little past three times. With all that being said is it safe to say that the gears are at 307? Should I put the tape on the Drum instead of the tire and do a recount because it is such a large tire?

Merry Christmas!!
Roll the ring gear around til you see some numbers. Divide teh big umber by the little one and you've got the gear ratio.

Well I popped the diff cover off again. Counted them. Got 43 to 14. Boils down to 307s. Three of the worst people in the world? People that work for "We The People", Liars and thief's. After I payed dude for the parts Jeep he mentioned that he switched out the gears to 4 something gears. So needless to say I kept his number and just gave him an earful. My stock axles have the 355s. Now I got to swap back axles. Good thing is it will get rid of the renix axle with the vacuum disconnect bullcrap. Bad thing is that I already ordered the delete kit from rusty's off road.

So I did something wrong when I did the SYE install. I swapped the fork and entire SYE shaft with gears from parts t case. Fights to get in 4 low and pops out every chance it gets But goes down the road with zero noise. In 4 Hi anything above 20 mph sounds like somebody is banging on it with a hammer. In 2 wheel drive it drives fine with no noise. Not running the front drive shaft. Going to take it apart on Friday to investigate. Hope the guy who bought the parts t case don't have the same problem or any problems. Do you guys have any ideas of where I went wrong?

So... My stupid *** got in a hurry. Put the synchronize sleeve on backwards. Everything is up to par now. Acos spacers are supposed to be here tomorrow. Will keep you all updated. Went with the rough country sway bar disconnects. Read a lot of bad reviews about rough country after I ordered them. Anybody try these? If they fail at least I will have a pattern or an idea of how to build a stronger part. Happy new year everybody.

Swapped axles back today.
Pain in my ****. Jack stands made the picture this time and that is wood that they're sitting on. Of course ACOS spacers didn't make it in the mail on time. Did notice that the bump stop towers or whatever they're called are factory spot welded in. Been watching this Matt guy on Bleepin Jeep. His just un bolted. He mentioned that the welded ones need to be cut and tapped.
You people know of any good threads on doing this?

Tires were two and a half inches towed in. Fixed that. Drove it down the freeway and everything was going smooth until a car got behind me and the tailgater's headlights informed me that I was dumping smoke out the back. Drove straight home. I don't think the new rear main seal made it

So my leak is hit and miss. I know its my rear main seal. Comes and goes. For example. I let it warm up for about five minutes before I drive it and let the thermostat open up before I shut it off. Drive to work (1.7 miles) and not one drop on the cardboard under it. Come home from work. Not a drop. Drive to the grocery store (about 1 mile) this evening. Puddle underneath it. Got about 75 miles on it now. Just seems to come and go. Any suggestions?

Need to upgrade the steering. Getting a lot of bump steer. Looking at Rusty's off road products. http://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-...onversion.html is what I'm looking at. Does anybody have some input on this system? Or an alternative?

Sway bar discos came in mail today. Wont be installing the stickers.
